Comprehensive Breeding Program
Our Maremma Sheepdog breeding program meticulously nurtures each puppy’s health, temperament, and abilities from birth. From their earliest days, puppies undergo age-appropriate training that includes basic obedience and socialization with humans and other animals to ensure they develop into well-rounded, reliable livestock guardians and family members.
Each puppy benefits from our rigorous health protocol, which includes genetic testing of their parents for common hereditary conditions and screening for hip, elbow, eye, patella, and heart conformation/development via OFA and/or PennHIP, guaranteeing the overall well-being of our puppies. Additionally, temperament testing is a cornerstone of our program, helping us identify the best match for every puppy and their future family, ensuring successful integration into their new roles with their new families.

What Our Puppy Parents Say
Thank you for such a wonderful puppy. She has already fit in so well. She is calm and confident and on our heels. Yesterday I was sitting in the yard with her, and a plane went overhead, and she looked up and tracked it . . . she is so smart! Even after working with dogs all these years, it still amazes me that what a dog is bred for can be so instilled in them.

Axle (now Uriah) is doing great, he’s very confident and alert. Please let me know when you plan to have another litter. I think it will be good for him to have a friend.
*Update* The Ketchum’s brought home their second 2J 2K Maremma Sheepdog in 2023!
– D. Ketchum | West Point, Mississippi
Talvi is doing great . . . and is getting along well with Gina, goats, and grandkids. Thanks for the perfect puppy for us . . . it was nice to meet Jason.
