Our Maremma Sheepdogs are raised to love their people and the friendly people who visit them. From the very beginning, we focus on socialization and basic training with all of our Maremma Sheepdog puppies. This early foundation is especially important for a livestock guardian dog, ensuring they grow into confident and reliable protectors.

We’ve found that introducing our Maremmas to people and everyday and novel experiences strengthens their ability to do their job, shaping a Maremma Sheepdog who is a joy to live with and one we know will faithfully protect our farm and animals. Proper puppy rearing helps develop dogs that are confident, well-adjusted, and a pleasure to be around, both as working guardians and beloved companions.

Maremmas are livestock guardian dogs first. Most of our Maremma Sheepdog puppies go to working livestock guardian homes. In the right setting, we also place select pups as companions, only when the home supports and understands the breed’s needs and purpose.
